yes you heard it right today we are going to discuss about what happens when earth stops spinning.We know that earth is orbiting around sun as well as rotating in its own axis .Now think that earth suddenly stops spinning but its still orbiting around the sun.

earth spin at a speed 1674.4 Km/hr and it takes 23 hr 56 min 4.1 s  precisely to complete one revolution

  • because of no spinning no more sunrise and sunset will be there oh really we will miss that and it takes one year to just complete one day and night
  • The least affected place in earth will be polar region 
  • Due to this plants will evolve (or destroy) to such a condition that it can survive without light for a 6 months
  • Instead of having home at a particular place we will travel along with light or we will also evolve or we will hibernate at that times
  • Earth is oval shaped this is because spinning of earth if earth stops then earth will be a perfect sphere
